Install the Fuel Line (from the Engine Disconnect to the Forward Wing Spar) (Fig. 402)

Put the fuel tube(s) in the strut and hold the tube(s) in the correct position.

Install the bolts, washers, nuts, end caps, spacers and shims (if used) that attach the clamp blocks to the support brackets (View I).
NOTE: Do not tighten the clamps at this time.

(3) Lubricate the new coupling O-rings with the petrolatum.

TO THE FITTING COMPONENTS OR LOOSENING OF THE ADJACENT FITTINGS
CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: YOU CANNOT TIGHTEN THE FUEL LINE COUPLING AFTER THE INITIAL
_______ INSTALLATION. YOU MUST INSTALL NEW O-RINGS WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE FUEL LINE COUPLING OR A FUEL LEAK CAN OCCUR.

FOR THE OUTBOARD STRUTS; Tighten these fuel tube(s) couplings (AMM 28-00-00/201):
(a)
Shrouded spar coupling (View F).
1) Connect the drain line to the shroud coupling body with the union and a new O-ring.
(b)
Shrouded bulkhead coupling (View E). 1) At the bulkhead fitting, tighten the jamnut to a torque value of 920 pound-inches
2) Connect the drain line to the shroud coupling body with the union and a new O-ring.
(c)
Flexible-full coupling (two locations) (View D).

FOR THE INBOARD STRUTS; Tighten these fuel tube(s) couplings (AMM 28-00-00/201):
(a)
Spar coupling (View H).
(b)
Bulkhead coupling (View G).
1) At the bulkhead fitting, tighten the jamnut to a torque value of 920 pound-inches.

Flexible-full coupling (three locations) (View D).

(6) Tighten the bolts that attach the fuel tube clamp blocks to the support brackets.
NOTE: Make sure to replace the shims (if removed) from the support

Install the lockwire on the fuel coupling(s).

Use lockwire to attach the bulkhead fitting jamnut and coupling body to the adjacent bolt on the forward and aft side of the bulkhead structure.
