(c) (d) Install the bolts (7) and washers (8) (four locations) that attach the adapter (1) to the front spar.Install lockwire on the bolts (7).
(4) S 414-036Do these steps to close the fuel tank: (a) Close and go out of the fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201). (b) Install the applicable main tank access door(s) (AMM 28-11-02/401).
(5) S 824-037Do this task: Adapter Shaft Alignment (AMM 28-00-01/201).
NOTE:____ The index plate (2) is aligned with valve body and the actuator. After the index plate is aligned, the screws (4), (5) and washers (3) are installed and lockwired.
(6) S 424-038Install the fuel crossfeed valve actuator and bonding jumper (AMM 28-22-02/401).
NOTE:____ Make sure the electrical resistance between the actuator and front spar is not more than 0.008 ohms (SWPM 20-20-00).
(7) S 434-035AIRPLANES WITHOUT PRIMER BETWEEN THE SPAR AND THE ADAPTER PLATE; Do these steps: (a) Apply a fillet seal of BMS5-95 sealant around the periphery of the adapter plate (AMM 28-11-00/801). (b) Apply these protective finishes to any bare areas of the front spar not covered with the sealant: 1) Alodine 600 (AMM 51-21-04/701). 2) BMS 10-20 Type II primer (AMM 28-11-00/801).

Do these steps to check for external fuel leaks at the crossfeed valve:
(a)
Refuel the applicable main tank (AMM 12-11-01/301).
(b)
Do a check for leaks at the crossfeed valve adapter plate.

WARNING:_______DO THE PROCEDURE IN AMM 27-81-00/201 TO REMOVE THE LOCKS. THE FLAPS MOVE QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(9) Do this task: Safety Locks Removal and Extended Leading Edge Flaps Activation (AMM 27-81-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LEADING
_______ EDGE AND TRAILING EDGE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

MAIN TANK BOOST PUMP HOUSING - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains instructions to remove and install the housing for the main tank boost pumps. To remove and install the boost pump motor/impeller unit, refer to AMM 28-22-03/401.
B. Housings for the inboard main tank boost pumps are found at the inboard end of the fuel tank, installed on the front and rear spars. Housings for the outboard main tank boost pumps are found at the outboard end of the inboard main tanks, installed on the boost pump dry bay walls.
C. To get access to the housings for the main tank boost pumps, defuel the inboard main tanks and remove the applicable fuel tank access door. If you remove housings for the the No. 1 or No. 4 main tank boost pump, the outboard main tank must be defueled also.
