Purge and prepare to go into the main fuel tanks (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Remove the applicable fuel tank access door for access to the housing (AMM 28-11-02/401) and go into the fuel tank.
(a)
For the housings in the No. 1 or No. 4 main tank forward and aft boost pumps, remove the fuel tank access door, 545BB or 645BB.
(b)
For the housings in the No. 2 or No. 3 main tank forward and aft boost pumps, remove the fuel tank access door, 544AB or 644AB.

(6) S 034-006Disconnect the pump discharge line (3) at the coupling downstream of the discharge check valve (1). (a) Discard the packing (2).
(7) S 034-007Disconnect the pressure sensor line (4) and ejector pump pressure line (19) at the discharge check valve (1). (a) Discard the packings (5, 20).
(8) S 034-008Disconnect the coupling at the pump inlet line (16). (a) Discard the packing (17).
(9) S 024-047For the No. 1 and 4 main tank boost pumps, disconnect the bonding jumper at the pump housing (12).

FOR THE N0. 1 AND 4 MAIN TANK BOOST PUMP OR THE FORWARD N0. 2 AND 3 MAIN TANK BOOST PUMP; Remove the bolts (14) and washers (15) (two locations) that attach the removal check valve (18) to the support bracket (13).

If you remove the housing for the No. 1 or No. 4 main tank boost pump, disconnect the pump coolant and vapor discharge line.

Discard the packing.

If you remove the housing for the No. 1 or No. 4 main tank boost pump, remove the screws (24) and washers (25) (four locations) that attach the housing (12) to the support bracket (26) in the fuel tank.

AIRPLANES WITH SEALANT ON THE MOUNTING BOLT WITH THE ATTACHED BONDING JUMPER; Remove the sealant from the bonding jumper terminal (11) and the mounting bolt (27).

Hold the housing (12) in the fuel tank and remove the mounting bolt (27), washer (10), bonding jumper (11) and for No. 1 and 4 main tank boost pumps, the aluminum ring (28).
