1) MAIN 1 FWD and MAIN 1 AFT
2) MAIN 2 FWD and MAIN 2 AFT

Monitor the main tank fuel transfer operation.
(a)
During the fuel transfer operation, the low pressure light for the main tank override/jettison pumps can show.
NOTE: No maintenance action is necessary.

(b)
Monitor the refuel quantity indicators to find the fuel quantity in each tank.
(c)
Continue the fuel transfer until the indicators show the specified quantity of fuel.
(d)
When the fuel level goes below the inlets for the main tank override/jettison pumps, put the override/jettison pump switches to the off position (pump low pressure).
NOTE: Reference the main tank pump priming graphs

(e) Use the main tank boost pumps to continue the fuel transfer operation.

Stop the fuel transfer:
(a)
When the main tank fuel quantity is zero, put the main tank boost pump switches to the off position.
(b)
Put the switches for the crossfeed valves to the off position.
(c)
At the left and right pressure refuel station, do these steps: 1) Put the manual refuel valve switch(es) to the CLOSED
position. 2) Close the manual shutoff valves for the fueling receptacle. 3) Close the manual defueling valves.
(d)
Do these steps to continue with the fuel transfer operation: 1) Continue to transfer fuel from other tanks (if necessary) 2) Do this procedure: Drain the Remaining Fuel (if necessary) 3) Do this procedure: Put the Airplane Back to the Usual
Condition.

H. Reserve Tank to the Inboard Main Tank Fuel Transfer
NOTE: Fuel from the reserve tank is transferred to the inboard tank when
____ the reserve tank transfer valves are opened (gravity feed). It is not necessary to open the defuel valve, shutoff valve or refuel valves to transfer fuel (SSM 28-00-01).

Make sure there is enough fuel capacity available in the inboard main tanks to permit fuel transfer from the reserve tanks.
