Purge and prepare to go into the main fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Go into the tank(s) and do a check for air leaks on the fuel-feed lines and couplings.

CAUTION: YOU CANNOT TIGHTEN THE FUEL LINE COUPLING AFTER THE INITIAL
_______ INSTALLATION. YOU MUST INSTALL NEW O-RINGS WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE FUEL LINE COUPLING AGAIN OR A FUEL LEAK CAN OCCUR.

If a coupling has a leak, disconnect the coupling, replace the O-rings, and then connect the coupling (AMM 28-22-07/401).

If a fuel line has a leak, or has damage, remove and install a new fuel line (AMM 28-22-07/401).

Open the bleed valve slowly and let the pressure in the lines bleed to zero.

Remove the pressure check equipment from the air pressure source and the inlet line to the fuel pump.

Connect the main fuel supply line to the engine fuel pump.
(a)
Remove the cap from the main fuel supply line.
(b)
Attach the main fuel supply line, the gasket and the bracket to the fuel pump.
(c)
Lubricate the threads of the bolts with engine oil.
(d)
Attach the parts with four bolts and four washers.
(e)
Tighten the bolts to 198 - 242 pound-inches
(22.4 - 27.32 Newton-meters).

Repeat these steps to install the other fuel lines.

Install the left and right scavenge system fuel strainers (AMM 28-15-00/201).

Do a dry engine motoring test to check for fuel line leaks in the strut area.

NOTE: The dry engine motoring test puts the fuel condition
____ lever in the run position (with the applicable FUEL CONT VALVE ENG circuit breaker in the open position). This will pressurize the fuel line to the engine fuel pump.
