Purge and go into the fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Remove the applicable fuel tank access door for access to the removal check valve (AMM 28-11-02/401) and go into the fuel tank.
(a)
For the removal check valve in the No. 1 or No. 4 main tank forward and aft boost pumps, remove the fuel tank access door, 545BB or 645BB.
(b)
For the removal check valve in the No. 2 or No. 3 main tank forward and aft boost pumps, remove the fuel tank access door, 544AB or 644AB.

Disconnect the coupling (15) at the pump inlet line (6).
(a)
Discard the packing (7).

Remove the bolts (2), washers (1,14), and the nuts (13) (6 locations) that attach the removal check valve to the outer boost pump housing.

Remove the removal check valve (8) and packing (12) from the fuel tank.

Discard the packings (7, 12).
