1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task removes the APU check valve. The second task installs the APU check valve.
B. The APU check valve is found in the air conditioning equipment bay. It is in the keel beam.

C. Prepare to Remove the APU Check Valve

Make sure the engines are not in operation.
(2)
Make sure the APU is not in operation.
(3)
Remove the pressure from the pneumatic system (Ref 36-05-00/201).
(4)
Put DO-NOT-OPERATE tags on the BLEED switches.
(5)
Open the doors to get access to the air conditioning equipment bay.

(1) Put the APU check valve in the correct position on the manifold duct.
NOTE: The flow arrow must be in the forward direction.

(2) Install the two V-band clamps on the manifold duct.
(a) Tighten the nuts of the V-band clamps to 45-55 pound-inches.

(3) Do this leakage test for the APU check valve.
(a) Use the APU to pressurize the pneumatic system (Ref 36-05-00/201).
