IF YOU DO NOT ISOLATE THESE SYSTEMS, THEY CAN OPERATE AND THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM CAN LOSE PRESSURE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Start the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(a) Let the APU become stable at the governed speed.

Put the APU BLEED switch, on the forward overhead panel, to the ON position (Fig. 201).
(a) The APU load control and the bleed air valve will open to permit the pneumatic system to pressurize.
(4)
Put the ISOLATION VALVE to the OPEN position (Fig. 201).

(5) Monitor the two indicators for the duct pressure on the forward overhead panel.
(a) The indicators must show 30 to 50 psi on each pointer without the systems in operation.
