D. Install the Bleed Air Regulator

Apply a thin layer of the antiseize compound to the external threads of the reducer/regulator coupling.

Install the reducer and the O-ring in the outer port of the
regulator, adjacent to the electrical plug.

CAUTION:_______DO NOT USE THE REDUCERS AS CONNECTORS TO THE SENSE LINES. IF YOU USE THE REDUCERS AS CONNECTORS, THEY WILL CROSS CONNECT THE SENSOR PORTS OF THE TWO BLEED REGULATORS. THIS CAN CAUSE LOW BLEED AIR PRESSURES AND TRIP-OFFS.

AIRPLANES WITH TWO REDUCERS; Install the reducer and the O-ring in the center port of the regulator.

Install the union and the O-ring in the center port of the
regulator.

AIRPLANES WITH MIDDLE PORT PLUG; Make sure there is a plug installed at the center port of the regulator.

Install the union and the O-ring in the remaining port of the regulator.

Use the cleaner to clean the mating surfaces of the regulator and the mounting pad of the inner extension ring.

Use a brush to apply the finishing material to all of the mating surfaces.

Use the four bolts and washers to attach the regulator to the extension ring.
NOTE: Put the chamfer of the nut to the bolt head.

(10) Ground the the bonding jumper for the regulator to the engine extension ring, if equipped.
(a) Install bolt.

Connect the electrical connector to the regulator.

Apply a thin layer of the antiseize compound to the external threads of the coupling for the reducer/sense line.
(a) Connect and tighten the sense lines.
E. Bleed Air Regulator Post Installation Test

(1) Make sure that the bleed air regulator is installed correctly, do the steps that follows :
(a)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and put the applicable engine bleed switch to the ON position.
(b)
Use the APU or a ground cart to pressurize the pneumatic system (AMM 36-05-00/201).
(c)
Open the isolation valve.
WARNING: PRESSURIZE THE BLEED AIR SYSTEM BEFORE YOU OPEN THE PRSOV.
_______ WHEN YOU OPEN THE PRSOV, USE A RACHET TYPE WRENCH. THE PRSOV CAN OPEN QUICKLY AND THIS CAN CAUSE THE HANDLE OF THE WRENCH TO TURN. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(d)
Use a wrench to put the pressure regulating and shutoff valve (PRSOV) in the open position. 1) Keep the PRSOV in the open position, if it does not stay in
the open position.
(e)
Do a check for leakage at the connections for these sense lines: 1) Supply sense line to the bleed air regulator. 2) Sense line from the bleed air regulator to the PRSOV.
(f)
Put the applicable engine bleed switch to the OFF position.
(g)
Make sure the position indicator on the PRSOV moves to the CLOSED position.
(h)
Make sure the manual lock assembly on the PRSOV is not locked.
1) The bolt must be tight (see the placard adjacent to the lock).
F. Put the Airplane Back To Its Usual Condition
