Examine the position indicator on the PRSOV.

Is the PRSOV in the fully closed position?


 (a)  No, use a wrench to open and close the PRSOV.
 1)  Does the PRSOV move to the open and closed positions smoothly? a) No, replace the PRSOV (AMM 36-11-15/401) b) Yes, continue.

 (3)  There are two methods you can use to electrically enable the bleed air regulator. Method 1 uses the airplane's own electrical power to put the applicable bleed switch to the ON position. Method 2 uses a separate 28 VDC power supply to enable the bleed air regulator if the bleed switch is in the OFF position. (a) With Method 1 (with the airplane's own electrical power), put the applicable engine bleed switch in the ON position (P5 panel). (b) With Method 2, do the steps that follow: 1) Remove the electrical connector from the bleed air regulator. 2) Apply 28 VDC to pins 5 and 6 of the bleed air regulator for approximately 5 seconds. a) You should hear the ON/OFF solenoid click at the bleed air regulator. b) Remove the 28 VDC power supply. c) Install the electrical connector back on the bleed air regulator.

 (4)  Disconnect the 5th-stage supply line at the tee for the supply line to the bleed air regulator.

 (5)  Connect a supply pressure gage (Ps) and nitrogen source to the supply pressure inlet line at the tee from the 5th stage duct (View A, Fig. 501).

 (7)  Install a control pressure gage (Pc) to the control pressure line (View B, Fig. 501).
