8. Reverse Flow Check Protection - Operational Test (Fig. 504)________________________________________________
A. General
(1)
This procedure examines the operation of the reverse flow check mechanism that is located within the high-stage regulator unit. The flow check mechanism is designed to shut off the high-stage valve to prevent a flow reversal.
(2)
The reverse flow check mechanism is designed to vent the opening chamber of the high-stage valve which causes it to close in the event of a reverse flow condition.
