D. Remove the Duct Insulation

Turn the duct insulation until you can see the square knots.

Untie the square knots.
NOTE: If you cannot untie the square knots, you can use a knife to

cut the tape.

(3) Remove the insulation blanket from the pneumatic ducts.

C. Install the Insulation

(1) Install the insulation blanket on the applicable ducts (Fig. 401).
(a) Make an overlap of approximately 2.00 inches along the length of the insulation blanket.

Make a square knot with the fiberglass tape to hold the insulation blanket on the duct.

Put the ends of the tape under the overlap of the insulation blanket.
D. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
