 1.  General

 A.  This procedure contains two tasks. The first task removes the ground air connector for the pneumatic system. The second task installs the ground air connector for the pneumatic system.
 B.  The ground air connector is found on the right side of the pneumatic manifold. It is adjacent to the front spar of the wing center section.

 2.  Remove the Ground Air Connector (Fig. 401)

 D.  Prepare to Remove the Ground Air Connector

 (1)
Remove the pressure from the pneumatic system (Ref 36-05-00/201).

Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag and close the BLEED 2 switch on the P5 panel.

Open the access panel for the ground air connector.

 (4)  
Open the access panel for the right side of the air conditioning bay.

 E.  Remove the Ground Air Connector
 S 034-006
 (1)  Remove the attach nuts.
 NOTE: To prevent movement of or to prevent damage to the gasket
____ No. 1, keep the bolts in the position.

 (2)  Remove the connector.

Examine gasket No. 2.

 (a) Keep gasket No. 2 if it is not damaged.

 D. Install the Ground Service Connector
 (1)  S 424-012Put the connector and gasket No. 2 in the correct position.
 (2)  S 434-013Install the nuts. (a) Tighten the nuts.
 (3)  S 794-014Do a check for leakage at the check valve for the connector. (a) Use the APU to pressurize the pneumatic system (Ref 36-05-00/201). (b) Examine the check valve for leakage.

 NOTE: Diffused leakage is permitted, jet blast leakage must be
____ repaired.
