Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-04/201).

_______ REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU OPEN THE THRUST REVERSERS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Open the thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the applicable access panel for the strut.
F. Do the System Test

(1) Push the BLEED TRIP OFF lights on the P5-10 panel.
(a)
Make sure the two BLEED TRIP OFF lights come on when you push them.
(b)
Make sure the two BLEED TRIP OFF lights go off when you release them.

(2) Disconnect these electrical connectors when it is necessary:
(a)
D526 - Engine No. 1 Bleed Air Overheat Switch
(b)
D528 - Engine No. 2 Bleed Air Overheat Switch
(c)
D3064 - Engine No. 1 and Engine No. 2 Bleed Air Regulator (regulator)

(3) Do the steps that follow to examine one of the bleed air control system:
(a) Put the 1 BLEED switch to the ON position.

(b) Measure the voltage between the pins 5 and 6 at the electrical connector for the bleed air regulator. 1) Make sure the voltage is 28 | 5 VDC.
CAUTION: PNEUMATIC SYSTEM PRESSURE MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE THE
_______ ENGINE START VALVE IS MANUALLY OPENED. PRESSURE IN THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(c)
Remove the pressure from the pneumatic system (AMM 36-05-00/201).
(d)
Use a wrench to manually open and hold the Engine Start Valve to approximately 30 degrees in the open position.
(e)
Measure the voltages between these pins at the electrical connector for the regulator: 1) Pins 5 and 6 measure 0 | 2 VDC. 2) Pins 6 and 7 measure 28 | 5 VDC.
(f)
Release the Engine Start Valve.
(g)
Measure the voltages between these pins at the regulator connector: 1) Pins 5 and 6 measure 28 | 5 VDC. 2) Pins 6 and 7 measure 0 | 2 VDC.
