A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the warning notices are in position:
-
in the cockpit on the Engine Control Panel 115VU to tell persons not to start the engine(s),
-
in the cockpit on the AIR COND Overhead Control Panel 30VU to tell persons not to push in the APU BLEED pushbutton switch,
- on the HP ground connector to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
(2)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the access panel 197BB.
(3)
Make sure that the access panel 197BB is open.

R A. Installation of the Check Valve
CAUTION : REMOVE OR INSTALL THE SENSING ELEMENTS CAREFULLY. DO NOT TWIST,_______ BEND OR CAUSE KINKS IN THE SENSING ELEMENTS.
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking caps from the housing (1) and the duct (5).
R (4) Apply the COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-011) to the new packing (2).
(5) Install the packing (2) on the check valve (3).
R (6) Install the check valve (3) on the housing (1).
R R (a) Make sure that the axis of the check valve (3) is installed in a vertical position.
R R (7) Put the clamp (4) on the duct (5) but do not tighten the clamp (4) at this time.
R R (8) Carefully move the duct (5) to its correct position at the housing (1).
R (9) Put the clamp (4) in its correct installation position.
R (10) TORQUE the nut of the clamp (4) to between 0.4 and 0.5 m.daN (35.39 and 44.24 lbf.in).
(11) Connect the duct (7) to the duct (5) and install the clamp (8).
(12) TORQUE the clamp (8) to between 0.3 and 0.56 m.daN (26.54 and 49.55 lbf.in).
R (13) Attach the duct (5) to the bracket (10) with the clamp (9).
R R (14) Attach the overheat sensing elements (6) in their correct installation positions with the clips (Ref. TASK 36-22-17-400-001).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1HV, 2HV, 2HA1, 2HA2, 3HA1, 3HA2

C. Do this Test
(1)
Do the ground air pre-conditioning with the APU (Ref. TASK 12-33-21-618-001).
(2)
Make sure that there is no leak between the housing (1) and the duct (4).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) Install the access panel 197BB. Subtask 36-12-51-942-051
B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.

Remove the warning notice(s).
(2)
Remove the access platform(s).
