R  G. Preparation for the Leak Test
 (1) Remove the blanking plug from the test port of the bleed pressure regulator valve.
 (2) Connect the TEST SET - ENGINE BLEED SYSTEM (98D36003000000) or equivalent to the bleed pressure regulator valve.
 (3) On the bleed pressure regulator valve, disconnect the sense line from the bleed pressure regulator valve control solenoid (10HA1), and put a blanking plug on the valve and on the disconnected line end.

 Subtask 36-11-52-790-052
 A. Leak Test of the Bleed pressure regulator Valve with the Ground Air-Supply Unit
 (1) On the lower ECAM DU, push the BLEED key (on the lower ECAM DU, the BLEED page comes into view).
 (2) Start the ground air-supply unit and make sure that the supplied air pressure is not more than 40 psi (2.7579 bar).
 (3) On the lower ECAM DU, on the BLEED page: - make sure that the related bleed pressure regulator valve is shown closed. - record the values of the engine bleed pressure.

ACTION RESULT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. On the test set:
-make sure that the systems No. 1, 2 and 3 are not pressurized
- open the shutoff valve of the air cylinder.
 2. On the test set:
-use the primary regulator to pressurize the pressure source to 200 psi (13.7895 bar).
 3. On the test set:
-slowly pressurize the system No. 1 to 20 psi (1.3789 bar) more than the engine bleed pressure read on the BLEED page of the lower ECAM DU.
 4.
 Make sure that there are no leaks at the junction between the bleed pressure regulator valve and the duct on the related engine.

 5.
 On the test set:

-decrease the pressure of the system No. 1 to O psi.

6.
 Stop the ground air-supply unit.

 7.
 Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.


On the test set:
-
the pressure gage of the air cylindershows the pressure.

On the test set:

-
the primary gage shows 200 psi(13.7895 bar).


On the bleed pressure regulator valve:
-
make sure that the visual positionindicator shows that the valve isopen.

 On the lower ECAM DU, on the BLEED page:

 -
make sure that the related valve is shown open.


On the bleed pressure regulator valve:
-the visual position indicator showsthat the valve is closed.
 On the lower ECAM DU, on the BLEED page:
 -make sure that the related valve is shown closed.

 Remove the blanking plug from the

 bleed pressure regulator valve and connect the sense line from the bleed pressure regulator valve control solenoid (10HA1).

-slowly pressurize the system No. 1 to 20 psi (1.3789 bar).

 Subtask 36-11-52-080-060
 A. Removal of the ToolOn the bleed pressure regulator valve:
-make sure that the visual positionindicator shows that the valve is open. If the valve is not in the open postion, make sure that there are no leaks at the sense line from the control solenoid (10HA1).
 (1) Disconnect the TEST SET - ENGINE BLEED SYSTEM (98D36003000000) or
 equivalent from the test port of the bleed pressure regulator valve.
 (2) Put the blanking plug on the test port of the bleed pressure
 regulator valve.
