B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the warning notices in position:
-
in the cockpit on the Engine Control Panel 115VU to tell persons not to start the engine(s),
-
in the cockpit on the AIR COND Overhead Control Panel 30VU to tell persons not to push in the APU BLEED pushbutton switch,
- on the HP ground connector to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
(2) Put the access platform in position below the access panel 197BB. Subtask 36-12-51-010-050
C. Remove the access panel 197BB.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Check Valve CAUTION : REMOVE OR INSTALL THE SENSING ELEMENTS CAREFULLY. DO NOT TWIST,

BEND OR CAUSE KINKS IN THE SENSING ELEMENTS.
NOTE : When you remove the APU bleed check valve, make sure that no parts
____ of the valve are missing (flaps, shaft and spring). If part(s) is (are) missing:
-Do an inspection of the APU bleed-air system and the air conditioning system to find this (these) parts before you install a new bleed check valve.
(1)
Loosen the clamp (8) and disconnect the duct (7) from the duct (5).
(2)
Un-clip the overheat sensing elements (6) from the duct (5) (Ref. TASK 36-22-17-000-001).
(3)
Loosen the clamp (9) from the bracket (10) and the duct (5).
(4)
Loosen the clamp (4) on the duct (5) and the housing (1).
(5)
Carefully pull the duct (5) away from the housing (1) to get access to the check valve (3).
(6)
Remove the clamp (4) from the elbow duct (5).
(7)
Remove the check valve (3) from the housing (1).
(8)
Put blanking caps on the open end of the duct (5) and the housing (1).
(9)
Remove and discard the packing (2).
