Subtask 36-22-16-420-061
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
R R (4) Examine the applicable overheat sensing element (9), (10), (11) and (12) for the correct condition. The element tube must not be twisted and the surface must be free of damage other than the limits that follow:
R (a) The maximum permitted depth of abrasions or dents is 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.).
R (b) The minimum permitted tube diameter at a dent is 1.78 mm (0.0700 in.).
(5) Remove the blanking caps from the applicable connectors and examine the connectors for the correct condition. Put the blanking caps on the connectors again.
