A. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the ENG panel 115VU:
-put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:
-make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
-put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

D. Nicks, Scratches, Chafing in Straight Section Maximum depth must be less than 5 percent of the duct diameter.
Maximum depth must be less than 20 percent of the tube outside diameter. Maximum radius of the dent must be less than 2 times the duct wall thickness. Maximum of 4 dents per each one foot (305 mm) of duct. Minimum distance of 1.0 inch (25.4 mm) between dents. No limit to dents allowed except in bends, no dents are allowed in bends.
Maximum length must be less than 3 times the outside diameter of the duct. Contour change must be less than 20 percent of the outside diameter of the duct.
Maximum depth must be less than 10 percent of the wall thickness of the duct. There is no limit to the number of nicks, scratches or chafing If the damage is more thanthe allowable limits,replace the duct (Ref. TASK 36-11-49-000-040) and (Ref. TASK 36-11-49-400-040).
