Put the safety barriers in position.

Put a warning notice in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the slat controls.

(1)
Extend the slats fully (Ref. TASK 27-80-00-866-004).
(2)
Install the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER (98D27803000000) on the flap/slat control lever on panel 114VU.

Remove the applicable access panels:

remove 522EB, 522FB
-
FOR 41HF, 68HF
remove 622EB, 622FB.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Cables CAUTION : MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU
_______ DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1)
Remove the bolts (35) and the clamps (33) from the applicable cable
(15) or (16).
(2)
Remove the applicable cable (15) or (16) from the electrical raceway.
(3)
Cut the electrical cable (15) or (16) at the in-line splice connector.
(a)
For the cable 25HF:
-at the connector 4013VS in route 1S.
(b)
For the cable 41HF:
-at the connector 4012VS in route 1S.
(c)
For the cable 52HF:
-at the connector 4021VS in route 2S.
(d)
For the cable 68HF:
-at the connector 4020VS in route 2S.
(4)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the connectors (19), (23) and
(24) and the nut (20).
(5)
For the cables 25HF(41HF):
-disconnect the connector (24) from the connector (22).
(6)
For the cables 52HF(68HF):
-disconnect the connector (19) from the connector (23)
-
remove the nut (20) from the connector (23)
-
remove the connector (23) from the flanged attachment (21).
(7)
Remove the applicable cable assembly (15) or (16).
(8)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected connectors.
