D. Prepare for the Removal

WARNING: MAKE SURE THE DOWNLOCK PINS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING GEARS.
WITHOUT THE DOWNLOCK PINS, THE LANDING GEARS COULD RETRACT AND
CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) If the downlock pins are not installed on all the landing gears, do this task: Landing Gear
Downlock Pins Installation, TASK 32-00-01-480-801.

(2) Open this circuit breaker and install safety tag:

E. Standby Shutoff Valve Motor Removal

(1) Remove the valve motor [2]:
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector [1] from the valve motor [2].
(b) Set the manual override lever [4] on the valve motor [2] to POSITION 2.
(c) Remove the screws [14] that attach the valve motor [2] to the valve [13].
(d) Remove the valve motor [2] from the valve [13].

E. Standby Shutoff Valve Motor Installation
SUBTASK 27-81-91-420-003
(1) Install the valve motor [2]:
(a) Make sure the manual override lever [4] on the valve motor [2] is set to POSITION 2.
(b) Set the valve motor [2] on the valve [13]
(c) Engage the valve motor [2] with the valve cam [7].
(d) Install the four screws [14].
(e) Install the lockwire on the screws [14].
(f) Before you connect the electrical connector [1], examine the connector for corrosion.
WARNING: DO THE STEPS BELOW IF THE AIRPLANE OPERATES AT AIRPORTS WHERE
DEICING FLUID THAT CONTAIN POTASSIUM FORMATE IS USED. ALSO DO THE
STEPS FOR ALL AIRPLANES THAT YOU FOUND CORROSION IN THE
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS IN THE MAIN WHEEL WELL. THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTOR IS PART OF A SYSTEM THAT IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE FLIGHT.
(g) If there was corrosion, refer to (SWPM 20-60-03) to correct the problem.
(h) Apply the D5026NS or ZC-026 compound, G50171 to the connector (SWPM 20-60-03).
(i) Connect the electrical connector [1] to the valve motor [2].
NOTE: Corrosion inhibiting compound is applied to the exterior of the mated electrical
connectors after the operational test is completed.
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) Set the manual override lever [4] on the valve motor [2] to position 1.

(2) Remove the safety tag and close this circuit breaker:
