GROUND SPOILER CONTROL VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the ground spoiler control valve.
(2) An installation of the ground spoiler control valve.
(3) A functional test of the ground spoiler control valve.
B. In this procedure the ground spoiler control valve is referred to as the "valve assy".

D. Prepare for the Removal
SUBTASK 27-62-41-860-001
(1) Remove the pressure from the speed brake hydraulic system A. To remove, do this task:
Remove Pressure from the Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B, TASK 27-62-00-800-802
E. Valve Removal
SUBTASK 27-62-41-020-001
(1) Remove the bolt [12], washer [13], nut [14], and pin [15] that attaches the control rod [16] to the
valve lever [17].
SUBTASK 27-62-41-020-002
(2) Disconnect hydraulic line [2] and hydraulic lines [11] from the valve assembly [8]:
(a) Put a 5 gallon (19 liters) hydraulic fluid resistant container, STD-1110 below the valve
assembly [8] to catch the hydraulic fluid.
(b) Disconnect hydraulic line [2] and hydraulic lines [11] from the valve assembly [8].
(c) Install the plugs on the hydraulic line [2] and hydraulic lines [11].

(3) Remove the bolts [5], washers [6], and nuts [7] that attach the valve assembly [8] to the bracket
[1].

(4) Remove the valve assembly [8] from the airplane.

(5) Remove the reducer [3] and the packing [4] from the hydraulic ports on the valve assembly [8].

(6) Remove the reducers [10] and the packings [9] from the hydraulic ports on the valve
assembly [8].
SUBTASK 27-62-41-020-007
(7) Install the caps on the hydraulic ports.
