(1) Do this task: Supply Electrical Power, TASK 24-22-00-860-811.
E. Ground Spoiler Interlock Valve Functional Test - Rigging Tool Method
SUBTASK 27-62-61-020-016
(1) Attach the Interlock Valve Rigging Tool equipment, SPL-1750 to the lower slider assembly [6],
(Figure 502).
(a) Disconnect the lower slider assembly [6] from the Main Landing Gear (MLG) torque link by
removing the bolt [2], washer [3], washer [4], and nut [5].
(b) Attach the equipment, SPL-1750 by placing the large tool pivot pin in the end of the MLG
torque link bolt [7]. Attach the lower slider assembly end [6] to the small pin on the
equipment, SPL-1750.

(2) Install the scale assembly on the equipment bracket [8] of the landing gear.

(3) Move the equipment, SPL-1750 counterclockwise to position A on the scale assembly, and hold it
there.
(a) Verify that the rig pin S/B-3 fits freely in the yoke of the interlock valve [1], (Figure 501).
NOTE: If the rig pin S/B-3 from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585, does not go into the hole, do this
task Ground Spoiler Interlock Valve Adjustment, TASK 27-62-00-820-803 or this
task Ground Spoiler Interlock Valve Adjustment (Alternate Method),
TASK 27-62-00-820-811to adjust the cable.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
SURFACES BEFORE INSTALLING HYDRAULIC POWER. THE CONTROL SURFACES
CAN MOVE SUDDENLY CAUSING INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT.
(4) Do this task: Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization,
TASK 27-62-00-800-801.

(5) Move the speed brake lever to the UP position.
(a) Make sure the ground spoilers do not move.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
SURFACES BEFORE DEPLOYING THE SPOILERS. THE SPOILERS CAN MOVE
SUDDENLY CAUSING INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(6) Use the Interlock Valve Rigging Tool equipment, SPL-1750 to deploy the spoilers.
(a) Move the tool counterclockwise until the spoilers begin to deploy.
(b) Verify that the leading edge of the equipment, SPL-1750 is between B and C on the rigging
tool scale.

(7) Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.
(a) Make sure the ground spoilers retract.

(8) Release the equipment, SPL-1750.

(9) Remove the scale assembly from the landing gear on the equipment bracket [8].

(10) Attach the lower slider assembly [6] to the airplane.
(a) Remove the equipment, SPL-1750 from the lower slider assembly [6] and the Main Landing
Gear (MLG) torque link bolt [7].
(b) Reconnect the lower slider assembly [6] to the MLG torque link by installing the bolt [2],
washer [3], washer [4], and nut [5], (Figure 501).
