SUBTASK 27-62-51-860-004
(1) Make sure the hydraulic pressure is removed from system A. To remove it, do this task:
Remove Pressure from the Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B,
TASK 27-62-00-800-802.
E. Lower Slider Installation
SUBTASK 27-62-51-420-004
(1) Install the lower slider assembly [6] to the cable [1]:
(a) Connect the lower slider assembly [6] to the cable [1] at the quick disconnect, then turn and
tighten the sleeve [7].
(b) Install the nut [5], washer [4], washer [3], and bolt [2] which connect the lower slider
assembly [6] to the landing gear.
(c) Install the lockwire, G01912 to the sleeve [7] and bolts [11].

(2) Do this task: Ground Spoiler Interlock Valve Adjustment, TASK 27-62-00-820-803 or this task:
Ground Spoiler Interlock Valve Adjustment (Alternate Method), TASK 27-62-00-820-811.
(3) Do this task: Put the Speed Brake Systems A and B Back to the Condition Before the
Pressure Removal, TASK 27-62-00-840-802.

(1) Make sure the hydraulic pressure in system A is released, do this task: Remove Pressure from
the Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B, TASK 27-62-00-800-802.
SUBTASK 27-62-51-020-005
(2) To remove the lower slider, do this task: Lower Slider Removal, TASK 27-62-51-000-802.
D. Cable Removal
SUBTASK 27-62-51-020-006
(1) Remove the cable [1]:
(a) Remove the lockwires.
(b) Remove the bolts [11] and washers [10] that attach the retainer [9] to the clip assembly [8].
(c) Remove the clip assembly [8].
(d) Remove the nut [15], washer [14], washer [13], and bolt [12].
(e) Remove the bolts [19] and washers [18] from the retainer [17].
(f) Remove the nut [23], washer [22], and bolt [21] from the retainer [17].
(g) To remove the center door [34], do this task: Main Landing Gear Inner Door Removal,
TASK 32-13-11-000-804.
(h) Remove the screws [26], washers [27], and clamps [25] that attach the cable [1] to the
airplane structure.
(i) Remove the screws [29], washers [30], and clamps [28] that attach the cable [1] to the
airplane structure.
(j) Remove the screws [32], washers [33], and clamps [31] that attach the cable [1] to the
airplane structure.
(k) Remove the cable [1].
