INBOARD GROUND SPOILER ACTUATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the inboard ground spoiler actuator.
(2) An installation of the inboard ground spoiler actuator.
(3) A functional test of the inboard ground spoiler actuator.
B. In this procedure the inboard ground spoiler actuator is referred to as the "actuator".
C. This procedure is applicable to the left and right inboard ground spoiler actuators.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS,
ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS
CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task: Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization,
TASK 27-62-00-800-801.

(3) Put the SPOILER A and B switches in the OFF position to remove the hydraulic power from the
flight spoilers.
NOTE: SPOILER A and B switches are on the flight control panel (P5-3).

E. Actuator Removal
SUBTASK 27-62-71-020-001
(1) Disconnect the hydraulic lines [10] from the actuator [17]:
(a) Put a 5 gallon (19 liters) hydraulic fluid resistant container, STD-1110 below the actuator [17]
to catch the hydraulic fluid.
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines [10] from the actuator [17].
(c) Install the plugs in the hydraulic lines [10].

(2) Remove the pin [7], nut [6], washer [5], bushing [4], washer [5] and bolt [2] that attach the
actuator [17] to the inboard ground spoiler [1].

(3) Remove the pin [16], nut [15], washer [14], bushing [13], washer [12] and bolt [11] that attaches
the actuator [17] to the structure.

(4) Install caps in the hydraulic ports of the actuator [17].
