b) Make sure the FULL EXT green lights come on.
4) Do these checks when the leading edge slats are at the extend position;
a) Make sure the annunciator TRANSIT lights go off.
b) Make sure the EXT green lights come on.
(c) Move the flap control lever to the 5-unit detent position.
1) Make sure there is no change to the position of the leading edge devices or the
indicator lights.
(d) Move the flap control lever to the 10-unit detent position.
1) Do these checks while the trailing edge flaps extend to the 10 units position;
a) Make sure the LE FLAPS EXT light goes off.
b) Make sure the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light comes on.
2) Do these checks while the leading edge slats 1 thru 8 start to extend;
a) Make sure the slat EXT green lights go off.
b) Make sure the slat TRANSIT lights come on.
3) Do these checks when the leading edge slats are in the full extend position;
a) Make sure the slat TRANSIT lights go off.

b) Make sure the slat FULL EXT green lights come on.

a) Make sure the LE FLAPS TRANSIT light goes on.
b) Make sure the LE FLAPS EXT light comes on.
(e) Move the flap control lever to the 40-unit detent position.
(f) Move the flap control lever to the 10-unit detent position.
1) Make sure there is no change in the position of the leading edge devices or the
indicator lights.
(g) Move the flap control lever to the 5-unit detent position.
1) While the leading edge slats retract to the extend position, make sure the amber
TRANSIT lights come on.
2) Do these checks when the leading edge slats are in the extend position;
a) Make sure the slat TRANSIT lights go off.
b) Make sure the slat EXT lights come on.
(h) Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent position.
1) Make sure there is no change in the position of the leading edge devices or the
indicator lights.
(i) Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent position.
1) Make sure the leading edge flaps and slats move to the retract position.
2) Do these checks when each leading edge devices is at the retract position;
a) Make sure the amber TRANSIT lights go off.
b) Make sure no green lights come on.
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) To remove power from hydraulic system B, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B Power
Removal, TASK 29-11-00-860-805.

LEADING EDGE FLAP AND SLAT PROXIMITY SENSOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the leading edge slat proximity sensor
(2) An installation of the leading edge slat proximity sensor
(3) A removal of the leading edge flap proximity sensor
(4) An installation of the leading edge flap proximity sensor.
B. There are two proximity sensors for leading edge slats 1 and 8, and three for slats 2 thru 7. Leading
edge slats 1 and 8 each have an inboard and an outboard proximity sensors. Leading edge slats 2
thru 7 each have and inboard, retract and outboard proximity sensors.
C. There are two proximity sensors for each leading edge flap.
D. This procedure is applicable for all proximity sensors on the leading edge flaps and slats.
