SPEED BRAKE LEVER POSITION SENSOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the speed brake lever position sensor.
(2) An installation of the speed brake lever position sensor.
(3) An adjustment of the speed brake lever position sensor.
B. In this procedure the speed brake lever position sensor is referred to as the "sensor".

(1) Open this circuit breaker and install safety tag:

(2) Put the speed brake lever in the DOWN position.

(1) Disconnect the electrical connector [7] from the sensor [1].

(2) Loosen the clamping bolt [5] from the crank [4].

(3) loosen the clamping bolt [5] on the sensor support bracket [6].

3. Speed Brake Lever Position Sensor Installation

A. Tools/Equipment
NOTE: When more than one tool part number is listed under the same "Reference" number, the
tools shown are alternates to each other within the same airplane series. Tool part numbers
that are replaced or non-procurable are preceded by "Opt:", which stands for Optional.

SPL-1585 Kit - Rigging Pins, All Systems
(Part #: F70207-109, Supplier: 81205, A/P Effectivity: 737-600, -700,
-700C, -700ER, -700QC, -800, -900, -900ER, -BBJ)

C. Sensor Installation
SUBTASK 27-62-37-420-001
(1) Install the sensor [1]:
(a) Put the sensor [1] in the sensor support bracket [6].
(b) Align the index mark on the sensor shaft [3] with the center line on the crank [4].
(c) Tighten the two clamping bolts [5].

(2) Put the speed brake lever in the DOWN position.

(3) Install the rig pin S/B-1 from the test set rig pin kit, SPL-1585 in the forward drum of the speed
brake mechanism.

(4) Connect the electrical connector [7] to the sensor [1].

(5) Remove the rig pin S/B-1 from the forward drum of the speed brake mechanism.

(6) Remove the safety tag and close this circuit breaker:
