5) If it is necessary, adjust the mismatch dimension.
a) Loosen the jamnut [45] on the rod end [3].
b) Turn the rod end [3] to adjust the length of the flap actuator [4] until you get the
correct mismatch.
NOTE: The limit for maximum adjustment is two full turns.
c) Tighten the jamnut [45] to 550-650 pound-inches (62.1-73.4 newton-meters).
d) Install lockwire, G01912 on the jamnut [45].

(14) Do a check of the mismatch at the aft edge of the Leading edge flap [2] and the Leading edge
flap [1] (View L, Fig. 401).
(a) Check the mismatch at the aft edge of the Leading edge flap [2] and the Leading edge
flap [1]at locations 12-19 as shown on Leading Edge Gap/Misfair Measurement, SHEET
(Fig. 402).
1) If all the measurements taken at locations 12-19 are within the range -0.054 to +0.031
inch (-1.4 to +0.8 millimeters), the misfair at the aft edge of the Krueger flap is
acceptable as is without any additional adjustments.
NOTE: See Leading Edge Gap/Misfair Measurement, SHEET for definition of
negative and positive misfair measurements.
2) If one or more of the misfair measurements is outside the range -0.054 to +0.031 inch (-
1.4 to +0.8 millimeters), convert each of the measurements into a Net Effect Value
(NEV), using Leading Edge Gap/Misfair Measurement, SHEET .
3) Add the NEV measurements together and divide by the total number of measurements.

these steps:
a) Remove the nut [7], washer [8], washer [5], bushing [11], washer [10], and bolt [9] to
disconnect the flap actuator [4] from the Leading edge flap [2].
b) Loosen the jamnut [45] on the rod end [3].
c) Turn the rod end [3] to adjust the length of the flap actuator [4] until you get the
specified mismatch dimension.
NOTE: The limit for maximum adjustment is two full turns. The full extend angle of
the Leading edge flap [2] must still be 98 ±0.5 degrees while you make
this adjustment.
d) Tighten the jamnut [45] to 550-650 pound-inches (62.1-73.4 newton-meters).
e) Install the lockwire, G01912 on the jamnut [45].
f) Connect the flap actuator [4] to the Leading edge flap [2] with bolt [9], washer [10],
bushing [11], washer [5], washer [8] and nut [7].
6) If the mismatch dimension is out of tolerance for the inboard Leading edge flap [1], do
these steps:
a) Remove the nut [16], washer [17], washer [18], bushing [12], washer [13], and bolt
[14] to disconnect the flap actuator [4] from the Leading edge flap [1].
b) Loosen the jamnut [45] on the rod end [3].
