(2) Do this task: Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization,
TASK 27-62-00-800-801.

(3) Put the SPOILER A and B switches to the OFF position to remove the hydraulic power from the
flight spoilers.
NOTE: SPOILER A and B switches are on the flight control panel (P5-3).

(4) Put the speed brake lever in the UP position to lift the spoilers.

(5) Do this task: Extend the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.

(6) Do this task: Remove Pressure from the Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B,
TASK 27-62-00-800-802.
E. Actuator Removal
SUBTASK 27-62-94-020-001
(1) Disconnect the piston rod end of the actuator assembly [10] from the spoiler [1]:
(a) Remove the pin [8], nut [7], washer [6], bushing [5], bushing [4], washer [3] and the bolt [2]
in the piston rod end.

(2) Disconnect the hydraulic lines [9] from the actuator assembly [10].
(a) Put a 5 gallon (19 liters) hydraulic fluid resistant container, STD-1110 below the actuator
assembly [10] to catch the hydraulic fluid.
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines [9] from the actuator assembly [10].
(c) Turn the hydraulic lines [9] at the swivel joints to access the actuator assembly [10].
(d) Install the plugs in the hydraulic lines [9].

(3) Remove the bolts [13], washers [14], pillow blocks [11], and split ball bearings [12] from the
structure.

(4) Remove the actuator assembly [10] from the airplane.

(5) Install caps in the hydraulic ports of the actuator assembly [10].
