(4) To gain access to the UCM valve, do this step:

SUBTASK 27-81-52-020-001
(1) Remove the valve [3]:
CAUTION: DO NOT LET HYDRALUIC FLUID GET ON EQUIPMENT. IF HYDRAULIC FLUID
GETS ON EQUIPMENT, IMMEDIATELY CLEAN IT FROM THE EQUIPMENT.
HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Put a 5 gallon (19 liters) fuel resistant container, STD-1054 below the valve [3] to catch
hydraulic fluid.
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the valve [3].
1) Install caps on the hydraulic lines.
2) Install plugs in the hydraulic ports of the valve [3].
(c) Disconnect the electrical connectors from the valve [3].
(d) Remove the bolts [1], and washers [2].
(e) Remove the valve [3].

SUBTASK 27-81-52-420-001
(1) Install the valve [3]:
(a) Make sure the mating surfaces of the valve [3] and the bracket are clean.
(b) Put the valve [3] in its position.
(c) Install the bolts [1] and washers [2].
(d) Apply thin layer of sealant, A00247 along the edges of the joint between the mating
surfaces.

(e) Connect the hydraulic lines to the valve [3].
1) Remove the caps from the hydraulic lines.
2) Remove the plugs from the hydraulic ports on the valve [3].
3) Connect the hydraulic lines to the valve [3].
(f) Before you connect the electrical connectors, examine the connectors for corrosion.
WARNING: DO THE STEPS BELOW IF THE AIRPLANE OPERATES AT AIRPORTS WHERE
DEICING FLUID THAT CONTAIN POTASSIUM FORMATE IS USED. ALSO DO THE
STEPS FOR ALL AIRPLANES THAT YOU FOUND CORROSION IN THE
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS IN THE MAIN WHEEL WELL. THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTOR IS PART OF A SYSTEM THAT IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE FLIGHT.
