SUBTASK 27-62-91-420-001
(1) Install the outboard ground spoiler [1]:
(a) Put the outboard ground spoiler [1] in its position on the airplane.
(b) Install the bolt [34] with the head inboard, washer [35], bushing [36], washer [37], nut [38],
and pin [39] in the inboard hinge.

(c) Install the bolt [26] with the head inboard, washer [27], bushing [28], washer [29], nut [30],
and pin [31] in the center right hinge fitting.
(d) Install the bolt [11] with the head outboard, washer [12], bushing [13], washer [14], nut [15],
and pin [16] in the center left hinge fitting.
(e) Install the bolt [4] with the head outboard, washer [5], bushing [6], washer [7], nut [8], and
pin [9] in the outboard hinge fitting.
(f) Install washers [3] and nut [2] and connect the bonding jumper [10] to the outboard ground
spoiler [1].
(g) Install washers [33] and nut [32] and connect the bonding jumper [40] to the outboard
ground spoiler [1].

(2) Move the outboard ground spoiler [1] through its full travel.
(a) Make sure the outboard ground spoiler [1] moves freely.

(3) Install the bolt [18] that attaches the rod end for the spoiler actuator assembly [25] to the
outboard ground spoiler [1].
(a) Apply a layer of grease, D00633 to the bolt [18].
(b) Install the bolt [18] with its head outboard.
(c) Install the washer [22], bushing [20], bushing [21], washer [19] and the nut [23] on the bolt
[18].
(d) Tighten the nut [23] to 660-780 pound-inches (74.6-88.1 newton-meters).
(e) Install the pin [24].
(f) Apply grease, D00633 to the bolt [18], washer [19], bushing [20], bushing [21], washer [22],
nut [23], and pin [24].

(4) Make sure hydraulic power is not on.

CAUTION: INSPECT THE LOCKWIRE AND LOCKING KEY FOR DAMAGE AFTER THE SPOILER
TOOL IS REMOVED.
(5) Remove set, SPL-1743.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS,
ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS
CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(6) Do this task: Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization,
TASK 27-62-00-800-801.

(7) Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position to lower the spoilers.

(8) Do this task: Put the Speed Brake Hydraulic systems A and B Back to the Condition Before
the Pressurization, TASK 27-62-00-840-801.
