(11) Do a check of the flap panel clearances.
(a) For all but the aft 5 inches (127 millimeters) of the flap, make sure the gap between the
inboard leading edge flap [1] and the outboard leading edge flap [2] is 0.060-0.150 inch
(1.52-3.81 millimeters).
(b) For the aft 5 inches (127 millimeters) of the flap, make sure the gap between the inboard
leading edge flap [1] and the outboard leading edge flap [2] is 0.060-0.250 inch (1.52-6.35
millimeters).

(12) If the flap panel clearances are out of tolerance, do a check of the wing and flap panel for
damage or warpage.
NOTE: This check is to make sure that the flap and the wing align correctly. There is no
adjustment that you can do.

G. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

WARNING: CAREFULLY REMOVE THE LEADING EDGE FLAP ACTUATOR LOCK TO PREVENT
ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE LEADINGE EDGE FLAPS. THE LEADING EDGE
FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE
TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Remove the lockout set, SPL-1734 from the leading flaps. To remove the lockout set, do this task:

3. Leading Edge Slat Actuator and Main Track Downstop Adjustment
(Figure 502)
A. General
(1) You must adjust the leading edge slats with the wing unsupported outboard of the engine
nacelle. You can adjust the leading edge slats with the airplane on the gear or on jacks inboard
of the engine nacelle. The airplane must not have fuel on the outboard wing.
