FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE
TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Remove the lockout set, SPL-1734 from the actuator of the leading edge flap. To do this, do this
task: Leading Edge Flap and Slat Locks Removal, TASK 27-81-00-080-801.
SUBTASK 27-88-11-860-012
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT STAY AWAY FROM THE LEADING
EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS, TRAILING EDGE FLAPS, AND DRIVE MECHANISMS. THE
FLAPS, SLATS, AND DRIVE MECHANISMS MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE
INJURIES TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Retract the leading edge flap to the UP position with primary control. To do this, do this task:

(3) Close the applicable access panel:
(a) For the left wing, close this access panel:

1. General
A. This procedure has the task to do a test of the leading edge (LE) flap and slat proximity sensor.

(1) Make sure the flap control lever is in the FLAP UP detent position with the leading edge (LE)
flaps and slats in the retract position.
(a) If it is necessary, do this task: Leading Edge Flaps and Slats Retraction,
TASK 27-81-00-860-804.

(2) Do this task: Supply Electrical Power, TASK 24-22-00-860-811.
SUBTASK 27-88-11-860-003
WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL
SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR. THESE
COMPONENTS CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER.
THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) Do this task: Hydraulic System A or B Pressurization, TASK 29-11-00-860-801.

(1) Do this task: FSEU Display and Existing Faults Test, TASK 27-51-00-740-801.
SUBTASK 27-88-11-730-001
WARNING: MAKE SURE PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS
AND SLATS AND THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS. THE FLAPS AND SLATS WILL MOVE
DURING THIS TEST. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE INBOARD FAN DUCT COWL AND THE INBOARD AND OUTBOARD
THRUST REVERSERS ARE CLOSED OR REMOVED BEFORE YOU EXTEND THE
LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS IN THIS TEST. THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT
CLEARANCE FOR THE FLAPS AND SLATS TO EXTEND IF THE INBOARD FAN DUCT
COWL AND THE THRUST REVERSERS ARE IN THE OPEN POSITION. THIS CAN
CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do a test of the leading edge flap and slat proximity sensor:
(a) Push the ON/OFF button on the front panel of the FSEU to turn on the display.
NOTE: The display will show EXISTING FAULTS?.
(b) Push the down arrow until OTHER FUNCTNS? shows on the display.
(c) Push the YES button to select OTHER FUNCTNS? on the FSEU.
(d) Push the down arrow until I/O MONITOR? shows on the display.
(e) Push the YES button to select I/O MONITOR? from the menu.
