DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
2. Provide hydraulic power to the center and right hydraulic systems (MM 29-11-00/201).
3. Make sure the following circuit breakers are closed:
A. STAB TRIM CONT L
B. STAB TRIM SHUTOFF L
C. STAB TRIM SHUTOFF R
D. L STAB TRIM POS IND
E. R STAB TRIM POS IND
4. Position the stabilizer between 4 and 14 units.
5. Position the C FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switch and R FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switch on the right side panel (P61) to ON.
6. Position the EICAS computer selector on the forward electronics panel to R.
7. Position the C STAB TRIM switch on the control stand panel (P10) to NORM.
8. Position the R STAB TRIM switch on the control stand panel (P10) to CUTOUT.
9. Trim the stabilizer in the airplane nose down direction with the wheel mounted thumb switches and verify that the STAB TRIM advisory message displays on the upper EICAS screen.
10. Position the R STAB TRIM switch on the control stand panel (P10) to NORM.
11. Trim the stabilizer in the airplane nose down direction with the wheel mounted thumb switches and verify that the STAB TRIM advisory message does not display on the upper EICAS screen.
12. Position the EICAS computer selector on the forward electronics panel to AUTO.
13. Remove hydraulic power if it is no longer needed.
14. Remove electrical power if it is no longer needed.

a) Slat loss sensing system is deactivated,
b) Minimum approach speeds are
increased by 10 kts for each approach, and

c) Repair is made within one flight day. EICAS STATUS MESSAGES

PLACARD
As appropriate
MAINTENANCE (M)
1. Verify there is no damage to the slat, slat main tracks, and slat auxiliary arms (AMM 27-81-01/601 Inboard Leading Edge Slat Inspection Check).
2. Remove access panel 511HB (611HB) left (or right) to gain access to slat loss sensing switch.
3. Disconnect, tape and stow the wire number 2 from the inboard slat loss sensing switch (WDM 27-81- 31)
4. Cap the slat loss sensing switch.
5. Install access panel below landing light.
6. Move the Flap lever to FLAPS 25 to extend the slats to the landing position. Observe that the slats operate normally.
7. Verify LE SLAT ASYM Caution message is not displayed on EICAS. OPERATIONS (O)
Increase Vref speed by 10 kts.
