PLACARD
Fueling control panel indication(s) as appropriate -RIGHT (LEFT and/or CENTER) FUEL QTY INOP MAINTENANCE (M)
NOTE: With the load select function inoperative at the external fueling station, automatic shutdown or overfill protection may not exist.
1. Refuel using fuel quantity gauges on the pilots overhead instrument panel. OR
2. Determine the actual fuel in associated tank(s) by using the measuring sticks and the fuel measuring stick document (Ref. D345N005 kg) provided with the airplane.
NOTE: The fuel measuring stick document provides instruction for using the measuring stick readings and a set of conversion tables that relate stick readings and airplane attitude to obtain tank quantity.
OR
3. Use tank-to-tank transfer as follows:
CAUTION: OBSERVE FUEL QUANTITY LIMITS FOR EACH TANK WHEN TRANSFERRING FUEL FROM
ONE TANK TO THE OTHER.
A. Determine that the tank or tanks to which the fuel is to be transferred (tank(s) with operative quantity gauge(s)) have sufficient capacity to receive the fuel from the tank(s) with the inoperative gauge(s).
B. Open the defueling valve.
C. Open the fueling valve for tank(s) to receive the fuel.
D. Turn on boost pump(s) in tank being defueled.
E. After the tank is emptied, re-transfer into it the desired quantity of fuel (using the operative gauge of the supplying tank for measuring), or pump in a known quantity from the refueling truck using the truck meter.
F. Fuel the remaining tanks to the desired quantity in the normal manner.
