 The following flight deck affects will occur while the gear is extended:
 Gear down lights (NOSE, LEFT, RIGHT) will remain illuminated.
 Altitude alerting will be available (because ALT Vmo/Mmo has been selected).
 If flaps are lowered to a landing flap position (25 or 30), Enhanced GPWS Mode 3 (“Don’t
Sink”) and Mode 4 (“Too Low Terrain”) will not be available.
 TCAS lower antenna will switch to omnidirectional.

MAINTENANCE (M)
Verify override mechanism operates normally.
 Make sure the following circuit breakers on P11 panel are closed:
11C30, LANDING GEAR POS SYS 1 11S23, LANDING GEAR POS SYS 2 11A35, IND LIGHTS 4
11P28, R IND LTS 1
11S20, LEVER LOCK
 Complete the following to verify the LOCK OVRD button operates normally:
WARNING: MAKE SURE THE DOWNLOCKS ARE INSTALLED IN ALL OF THE LANDING GEAR BEFORE MOVING THE CONTROL LEVER. WITHOUT THE DOWNLOCKS, THE LANDING GEAR CAN RETRACT AND CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 Install the downlocks for the nose and main landing gear (AMM 32-00-20/201).
 Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
WARNING: MAKE SURE THE MAIN AND NOSE LANDING GEAR AREAS ARE CLEAR OF PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOU DO THIS TEST. THE LANDING GEAR DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 Pressurize the left hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).
 Open LEVER LOCK circuit breaker on the overhead circuit breaker panel, P11, and attach DO¬NOT-CLOSE identifier.
 Make sure the lever cannot be moved to UP without the lever lock override button pushed in. Push the lever lock override button and make sure the control lever will move to UP.
 
 Move the landing gear control to DN. Make sure the green NOSE, LEFT, and RIGHT lights on panel P3-1 are on.
 Make sure the LEVER LOCK circuit breaker on the overhead circuit breaker panel, P11, is closed.
 Remove the pressure from the left hydraulic system if no longer necessary.
 Restore airplane to its required configuration.
OPERATIONS (O)
For gear retraction use the following procedure:
 Push landing gear LOCK OVRD switch.
 Position landing gear lever to UP.
 After GEAR light extinguishes, position landing gear lever to OFF.
