APU DOOR
PLACARD
APU master switch - INLET DOOR INOP (OPEN/CLOSED)
MAINTENANCE (M)
1. If door positioning is required, manually position as follows:
Remove hydraulic power to left, right, and center systems (AMM 29-11-00).
Select (P5 panel) APU master control switch to OFF.
Select (P61 panel) L, C, R FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switches to OFF and attach DO-NOT
OPERATE tags.
Select (P10 control stand panel) C and R STAB TRIM shutoff switches to CUTOUT and attach
DO-NOT-OPERATE tags.
Open the folowing circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
P11 panel, FLT CONT SHUTOFF TAIL LEFT
P11 panel, FLT CONT SHUTOFF TAIL CTR
P11 panel, FLT CONT SHUTOFF TAIL RIGHT
P11 panel, STAB TRIM SHUTOFF LEFT
P11 panel, STAB TRIM SHUTOFF RIGHT
P11 panel, APU MN BAT CONT or APU ALTN CONT
P49 panel on E6 rack, APU CONT
8) P49 panel on E6 rack, APU INLET DR ACT
Open lower service access door to gain access to actuator from inside airplane.
Hand crank door actuator to position door.
CAUTION: DO NOT OVERTORQUE MANUAL/ELECTRICAL SELECTOR SHAFT AND MANUAL
DRIVE. IF RESISTANCE IS FELT, ACTUATOR DAMAGE MAY RESULT. SEE APU INTAKE DOOR ACTUATOR MANUAL OPERATION DECAL ON ACTUATOR.
Insert 1/4 inch square drive into manual/electrical selector shaft located on the forward end of the actuator. Push inward and rotate counterclockwise (about 90°) until manual drive socket is exposed. Do not exceed 10 pound-inches torque.
Insert square drive into revealed socket and turn counterclockwise to extend actuator and clockwise to retract. Do not exceed 65 pound-inches torque.
Insert square drive into manual/electric selector shaft. Push inward and rotate clockwise until manual drive socket is covered.
2. Return airplane to normal as follows:
A. Close lower access service door.
B. Remove tags and close circuit breakers:
P11 panel, FLT CONT SHUTOFF TAIL LEFT
P11 panel, FLT CONT SHUTOFF TAIL CTR
P11 panel, FLT CONT SHUTOFF TAIL RIGHT
P11 panel, STAB TRIM SHUTOFF LEFT
P11 panel, STAB TRIM SHUTOFF RIGHT
P11 panel, APU MN BAT CONT or APU ALTN CONT
P49 panel on E6 rack, APU CONT
C. Remove tags and place (P61 panel) L, C, and R FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switches to ON.
D. Remove tags and select (P10 control stand panel) C and R STAB TRIM shutoff switches to NORM.
3. Secure APU air intake door in position.
