Pneumatic control panel - ISOLATION VALVE INOP MAINTENANCE (M)
NOTE: Inoperative valve must be manually positioned open for engine start and then manually closed prior to departure.
Open and collar AIR SUPPLY ISOLATION VALVE POWER circuit breaker on overhead circuit breaker panel (P11).
Open right ECS access door.
Manually position manual override lever to OPEN for engine start.
Following engine start, position override lever to CLOSE.
Close ECS access door.

Notify dispatch. Flight operations may be affected.
Press applicable L ENG, or R ENG switch light on P5 panel to OFF. Verify that bar light extinguishes and OFF light illuminates.
Two procedures are provided. Perform either step A or step B.
NOTE: If step A is performed the APU bleed valve cycles to close, effectively shutting off the alternate bleed source for the affected air conditioning pack. Dispatch criteria for an inoperative air conditioner must be met per MEL Item 21-51-1.
A. Open and collar applicable circuit breaker on overhead circuit breaker panel (P11).

B. Lock valves in closed position as outlined below.
WARNING: FAILURE TO FOLLOW AMM 78-31-00/201 COULD RESULT IN INJURY TO PERSONNEL
AND DAMAGE TO FAN COWL, CORE COWL, FAN DUCT COWL AND THRUST REVERSER.
1) Open the following, as applicable:
RB211 ENGINE: strut pressure relief door (433LR Right, 443LL Left), left engine fan duct cowl, and thrust reverser.
P&W ENGINE: core cowls (418AR Left, 428AR Right), right engine fan duct cowl, and thrust reverser.
NOTE: See illustrations included in MEL Items 36-11-1 and 36-11-2 for clarity.
Rotate manual override hex nut on pressure regulating and shutoff valve until position indicator is in CLOSE.
Rotate manual override hex nut on engine high stage bleed valve until position indicator is in CLOSE.
Close thrust reverser, fan duct cowl, core cowl, and strut pressure relief door as applicable. OPERATIONS (O)
Observe MEL exception.

REMARKS OR EXCEPTIONS
(M) Except for ETOPS operations beyond 120 minutes, may be inoperative provided:
Associated fan air modulation valve is secured full open, and
Airplane is not operated in known or forecast icing conditions.
