Associated crossfeed valve light(s) - XFEED VLV LIGHT INOP
MAINTENANCE (M)
1. Open left main gear doors and install door locks (Ref AMM 32-00-15).
WARNING: DOOR LOCKS MUST BE PROPERLY INSTALLED WHILE WORKING IN THE VICINITY OF THE WHEEL WELLS (AMM 32-00-15). RAPID ACTION OF DOORS MAY INJURE PERSONNEL OR DAMAGE EQUIPMENT IF LOCKS ARE NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED.
2. Gain access to the crossfeed valve actuator. The actuator is located on the aft face of the rear spar in the left wheel well. Position an observer on an elevated platform as required.
3. Provide electrical power.
4. At fuel control panel on overhead flight deck panel, position CROSSFEED valve switch on (bar in view) then off.
5. In wheel well observe that valve actuator manual override lever moves from closed position to open, then back to closed.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 several times to confirm valve operation.
7. As necessary, remove elevated platform and door locks. Close left gear doors.

MAINTENANCE (M)
To verify operation of the spar valve without gaining access to the valve:
1. Start affected engine per standard procedures.
2. Open applicable L(R) FUEL COND CONT circuit breaker on panel P6.
3. Move FUEL CONTROL switch on control stand to CUTOFF position.
4. Engine shutdown indicates proper operation of the Spar Valve. (Shutdown should occur in approximately 40 sec.)
5. Close previously opened L(R) FUEL COND CONT circuit breaker on P6 panel.
NOTE: When the above procedure is performed, L(R) ENG LP PUMP status message will annunciate. This message is a result of the spar valve check, does not indicate a fault, and should be erased.
