Verify associated EICAS advisory message operates normally:
 Apply electrical power to the aircraft.
 Close all probe heat (pitot, AOA and TAT) and probe heat indication circuit breakers.
 Verify PROBE HEAT message is displayed on EICAS.
 On P61 Test Panel, hold the WING ANTI ICE - WINDOW/PROBE HEAT test switch in the WINDOW/ PROBE HEAT position.
 Verify no probe heat advisory messages are displayed on EICAS.
 Release the test switch.
 Open the appropriate probe heat circuit breaker.
 
 Hold the test switch in the WINDOW/PROBE HEAT position.
 Verify that associated probe heat EICAS advisory message annunciates (L/R AUX PITOT, STBY INST PITOT, C ADIRU PITOT, TAT PROBE, L/R TAT PROBE, and L/R AOA PROBE).
 Close circuit breaker.
 Restore airplane to its normal configuration.

Loss of AOA vane heat is annunciated by the Advisory message L (R) AOA PROBE. Verify that the associated vane is intact by visually inspecting it to ensure that it is not bent or missing, and that it moves freely.
