NOTE: The system operates when an APU fire is detected while the airplane is on the ground, and both engines are OFF.
1. Verify the APU fire extinguishing system operates normally as follows:
A. On the flight deck from the Aft Electronics panel (P8) perform a FIRE/OVHT TEST by pushing the ENG/APU/CARGO switch. The fire bell will ring intermittently. Observe the following lights illuminate:
Discrete FIRE warning light.
Fuel control switches.
L and R ENG OVHT.
LEFT, RIGHT, and APU fire switches.
FWD and AFT cargo fire.
B. On the flight deck from the Accessory Panel, push the SQUIB TEST switch. Observe the APU squib light illuminates green.

OPERATIONS (O)
APU Shutdown:
Position APU VALVE switch to OFF. Check to see that APU VALVE light does not come on.
Wait 120 seconds for APU cooldown.
Turn APU selector switch to OFF.
Wait 20 seconds, observe APU FAULT light momentarily illuminates to indicate APU fuel valve is in transit to closed.
APU Startup:
Monitor APU RPM and EGT on EICAS, load APU when APU RPM is 95% or greater.
