Airplane flight log as appropriate - BRAKE INOP - DEACTIVATION TOOL INSTALLED Airplane flight log as appropriate - BRAKE INOP - BRAKE LINE DISCONNECTED MAINTENANCE (M)
 Notify Dispatch as to method used to deactivate brake - maximum takeoff and landing weights will be reduced.
 Deactivate the brake by one of the following methods (Method A or B):
NOTE: Examine associated wheel brake for leaks (Ref AMM 32-41-10/601). If there is a leak, deactivate the brake by disconnecting the brake line (see Method B).
A. Method A - Brake Disconnect Tool Installation:
1) Install brake disconnect tool in place of removed antiskid shuttle valve end cap as follows (see following illustrations):
 
NOTE 1: Boeing P/N B32022-1 or -6 bag of parts includes Dowty deactivation tool P/N 2-7461-1 which is usable on S2747120-1, -4, -6 and -8 shuttle valves.
NOTE 2: Boeing P/N A32080-1 bag of parts includes Dowty deactivation tool P/N 2-7461- 3 or 2-7461-4 (optional) which can be used on all dash numbers (S274T120-1/-4/- 6/-8 and -10) of the shuttle valve.
 Check that landing gear door locks are properly installed (AMM 32-00-15).
 Check that landing gear downlocks are properly installed (AMM 32-00-20) and wheels are adequately chocked.
WARNING: DOOR LOCKS MUST BE PROPERLY INSTALLED WHILE WORKING IN THE VICINITY OF THE WHEEL WELLS (AMM 32-00-15). RAPID ACTION OF DOORS MAY INJURE PERSONNEL OR DAMAGE EQUIPMENT IF LOCKS ARE NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED.
 Depressurize right and left hydraulic systems (including reservoirs).
 Release parking brakes by depressing both brake pedals fully and releasing. Check that PARK BRAKE light on P10 panel extinguishes.
NOTE: Parking brakes may be released by operating either the Captain's or First Officer's brake pedals.
 Discharge hydraulic pressure from parking brake accumulator by use of either the Captain's or First Officer's brake pedals. Fully depress and release both pedals at the same time, ten times minimum, until the cockpit brake pressure gauge indication no longer decreases.
 Gain access to antiskid shuttle valve module located in the left or right main gear wheel outboard bulkhead.
CAUTION: REMOVE ONLY THE SHUTTLE VALVE SLIDE PLUG. REMOVAL OF THE SHUTTLE VALVE
CAN RESULT IN INJURY DUE TO RAPID EJECTION OF THE VALVE.
 Remove appropriate antiskid shuttle valve slide plug only from module (See Table I and Table II and following illustrations).
NOTE: Table below identifies which shuttle valve slide plug should be removed to deactivate a particular brake.
