Airplane Flight Log - TAT HEAT INOP (ADC Equipped Airplanes) or L(R) TAT HEAT INOP (ADIRU Equipped Airplanes).
OPERATIONS NOTE
Both ADC sources are declared invalid when the TAT probe heat is inoperative. LNAV and VNAV will be unavailable, waypoints in the FMC flight plan will not be sequenced, and performance predictions will be unavailable. Navigation calculations will be unaffected.

MAINTENANCE (M)
Open and collar the appropriate window heat system circuit breaker in the Main Equipment Center.
NOTE: Opening the circuit breaker for an inoperative No. 2 or No. 3 side window heater will illuminate the associated L(R) SIDE INOP light and set the associated L(R) SIDE WINDOW advisory message. This indicates a fault with either the No. 2 or No. 3 window heat. No. 2 window heat can be verified operative by turning ON the associated SIDE window heat switch and touching the window to verify window heat is operative. Dispatch is permitted in this circumstance under subitem 3, No. 3 Window heat inoperative.

MAINTENANCE (M)
Verify operation of window heat system as follows:
1. Provide electrical power to left and right main AC buses.
2. Press four WINDOW HEAT switches on P5 panel to OFF (OUT) position.
3. Verify the WINDOW HEAT message appears on the EICAS display. (This is an advisory level message.)
4. Press four WINDOW HEAT switches (P5) to ON (latched-in) position.
5. Verify none of the following EICAS messages are displayed (these are advisory level messages):
WINDOW HEAT
L SIDE WINDOW
L FWD WINDOW
R SIDE WINDOW
R FWD WINDOW
6. Press the L FWD WINDOW HEAT Switch (P5) to the INOP (out) position.
7. Verify L FWD WINDOW message appears on the EICAS display.
8. Press the L FWD WINDOW HEAT switch (P5) to the ON (latched-in) position.
9. Press the R FWD WINDOW HEAT switch (P5) to the INOP (out) position.
10. Verify the R FWD WINDOW message appears on the EICAS display.
11. Press the R FWD WINDOW HEAT switch (P5) to the ON (latched-in) position.
