 UNLOCK Function: If one Flight Crew Member leaves the Cockpit while the Aircraft is moving a Cabin Crew Member has to replace him and be present in the Cockpit in order to open the Door from inside if needed.
 LOCK Function: If one Flight Crew Member leaves the Cockpit while the Aircraft is moving a Cabin Crew Member has to replace him and be present in the Cockpit in order to open the Door from inside if needed. CDR and CC have to agree upon the use of interphone in case of need to open the Cockpit Door.

MAINTENANCE (M)
Visually check that all affected doors are closed and locked.
1. No. 1, 2, and 4 (L or R) Passenger Doors:
 Verify door is faired with the fuselage.
 Verify that all exterior/interior door handles are in the proper closed/faired position.
 Verify the girt bar mechanism is armed:
 Check that the mode selector lever are at ENGAGED.
 Check that the Armed Condition Indicator above the interior handle is extended.
 Check that the girt bar engaged warning light above the door is illuminated.
NOTE: If the girt bar engaged warning light is not illuminated or slide Armed Condition Indicator is not extended, verify girt bar engagement per the procedures described in MEL item 25-66-5.
2. No. 3 (L or R) Emergency Exit Doors or Overwing Emergency Exit Hatches:
 Verify door is faired with the fuselage.
 Verify that all exterior/interior door handles are in the proper closed/faired position.
 For No. 3 Emergency Exit Door, verify vent door is closed.
