REPAIR OF RACEWAY ASSEMBLIES - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General
(Ref. Fig. 001)
The raceway assemblies installed on aircraft have the following codes:
-ABS0127
-ABS0689 The standard procedure is to replace damaged or broken items by new items with the same P/N.

2. Damage check and Repair Method No repair by modification of the raceway assembly is permitted. You must install a new raceway :
-
for A320, a new harpoon tie or a new fairlead or a new retainer,
-
for A340, a new retainer bridge or a new pressure pad.

NOTE : All these items are not re-positionable. At each intervention on these items it is necessary to discard them and replace them by new ones.

REPAIR OF TIE-WRAPS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General The tie-wrap installed on aircraft have the code that follows:
-NSA935401 cable tie,
-NSA8420 lacing tape. The standard procedure is to replace a damaged or broken tie-wrap by a new
one with the same P/N.

2. Damage Check and Repair Method
No repair by modification of the tie-wrap is permitted.
You must install a new tie-wrap with the same reference.

1. General
This topic gives the technical requirements for repair of the backshells, for rectangular connectors, end-pieces and conduit-fittings at conduit-end. These items installed on aircraft are divided into 3 sub-families for the repair, as follows :
-
Repair of backshells for circular connectors, convoluted and screened conduits.
-
Repair of backshells for rectangular connectors.
-
Repair of end-pieces and conduit-fittings at conduit-end. The standard procedure is to replace damaged or broken backshells by new items with the same P/N.
