R (3) Connection Procedure
R R R R R R R (a) Stripping Procedure (Ref. Fig. 020) - Slide the 35 mm (1.3779 in.) long heat shrinkable sleeves NSA937502-03 on each cable for the insulation of the terminals. Do the shrinking operation after connection to the connector. - Select the applicable stripping tool. - Strip the cable at the length "A".
R R R R R R R R R R (b) Crimping Procedure (Ref. Fig. 020) - Select the applicable crimping tool. - Put the terminal at the center between the tool dies. If you can see the brazing seam, put it at the center opposite to the punch. - Squeeze the tool handles to hold the terminal in crimping position. - Engage the stripped cable in the terminal and make sure that all the strands are engaged.

R - Fully close the tool handles until the ratchet releases and the
R dies opens automatically.
R - Remove the crimped assembly from the tool.
R - Make sure that the connection is in the correct condition and
R that :
R * The cable insulator does not go into the barrel.
R * The crimping indents are centered.
R * The stripped conductors do not protrude to much (visible
R length < 1.5 mm (0.0590 in.)).
R (c) Insulation Procedure
R (Ref. Fig. 020)
R - Select the applicable shrinking tool.
R - Slide the terminal insulation in position : the sleeve must
R cover the cable and the terminal up to the screw for connection
R attachment.
R - Shrink the sleeve.
