4. Clamps at the end of Convoluted Conduits.
R This chapter gives the correspondence between NSA935807 and NSA5516 clamps. We recommend the installation of NSA5516 grommet clamps as an alternative to NSA935805 metal clamps at the end of convoluted conduits. The grommet prevents contact between the wires and the metal part of the clamp if the conduit moves out of the clamp. (Ref. Fig. 006)
_______
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT YOU USE THE TYPE OF CABLE SUPPORT THAT IS APPLICABLE FOR THE AREA IN WHICH YOU INSTALL IT. ALWAYS REFER TO CHAPTER 20-33-XX TO KNOW THE FULL PN OF THE CABLE SUPPORT APPLICABLE FOR ITS ENVIRONMENT ON THE AIRCRAFT. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE CORRECT TYPE AND SIZE OF CABLE SUPPORT, DAMAGE TO THE CABLE BUNDLE CAN OCCUR.

__________________1. Reason for the Job
_______WARNING : BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE ELECTRIC TOOLS IN AREAS WHERE THERE ARE RISKS OF EXPLOSION (FUEL TANKS, FUEL VAPOUR AREAS, ETC.). REFER TO YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY THEM. SOME ELECTRIC TOOLS SUCH AS HEAT GUNS, SOLDERING IRONS AND TOOLS WITHOUT INTRINSIC PROTECTION ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THESE AREAS.
The following procedure does not replace trouble shooting. It only provides general test methods to be applied on aircraft.

A. Fixture, Tools, Test and Support Equipment
R ------------------------------------------------------------------REFERENCE QTY DESIGNATION ------------------------------------------------------------------No Specific Ohmmeter
R R R ____NOTE : For a continuity test in the fuel tanks, use an intrinsic safety ohmmeter (For example: Ohmmeter CULTON type 278, AVTRON T477W or equivalent)
__________3. Job Set-Up (Ref. Fig. 001)
R A. Ohmmeter Check Before you start the continuity test:
R (1) Make sure that the ohmmeter operates correctly. Make sure that the extension wires (if used) are in the correct condition. (Ref. Fig. 001)
R (2) Adjust the ohmmeter to show zero Ohm with the two probes in contact.
B. Voltage and Current Values for the Test. Use these voltage values:
(1) For circuits with conductors connected directly via standard electrical connections (connectors, modules, etc ...): - 0.1 A less than or equal to I less than or equal to 2 A with U = 28 VDC max.
