LOCKING PROCEDURE FOR TERMINAL BLOCKS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
 _______
1. General This chapter gives the method used to lock terminal blocks at the end clamps. This process must be applied on all the terminal block end clamps located in the vibration areas.
R __________________2. Standard Procedure
 A. Lockwiring procedure
 (1) Material Locking pliers Ref. BELZER VAN EXTRA 2855 or equivalent. Lockwire stainless steel 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) dia. (Mat. 19-018). Lockwire 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.) (AMS 5687) (Mat. 19-009). Lockwire 0.8 mm (0.0314 in.) (Mat. 19-010).
 (2) Procedure R (Ref. Fig. 001, 002)
-Install the end clamp on the rail.
-Tighten the assembly with a screwdriver (no specific).
-Insert the lockwire through the screw lockwire hole (Ref. STEP 1).
-Twist the lockwire with the locking pliers at a sufficient length (Ref. STEP 2).
-Insert the wire end through the appropriate hole (Ref. STEP 3).
-Twist the lockwire with the locking pliers at a distance of 15 mm (0.5905 in.) (Ref. STEP 4).
-Cut the excessive length of wire.
-Bend back the part of the lockwire that is out (Ref. STEP 5).
