Remove the front insulators (11), (7) and the retention plate (6).
-On CANNON connector , remove the circlip (9).
-Remove the central insulator (5).
-Slide back the grommet (3)then the separator (2) with the seal
(4) into the backshell (1).
-Check the wires in the crimped contacts (10).

-If a wire is damaged:
-Cut the wires completely to remove the crimped contacts (10).
-Strip the wires (12) at the size "A".
-Insert the wires into the contacts.
-Crimp the contacts (10) with the PICO 500 crimping tool.
-Slide on the central insulator (5).
-Install the retention plate (6).
-Pass the contacts (10) through the front insulator (7).
-Install the assembly in the housing (8). Make sure that the indexing keyway in insulator (7) is correctly positioned.
-Slide insulator (7) over insulator (5).
-On CANNON connector, install the circlip (9).
-Push the assembly into the housing (8).
-Tighten the backshell (1) by hand until the orange color appears in the window of the coupling nut. TORQUE 0.8 m.daN (70.7964 lbf.in)
____
NOTE : When you tighten the rear connector the torque value increases. This will cause the connector to click until fully engaged.
-Make sure that the plug is tightened and torqued.
-Check the pin retention with a dynamometer. The CANNON value is 1.2 daN (2.6977 lbf) minimum, the SOURIAU value is 2.8 daN (6.2946 lbf) minimum, in accordance with pin/socket type used.
(d)
For E0378, safety the connector with lockwire (Material N..V02147).
(e)
For E0098, install the four screws in the square flange of the receptacle.

(Ref. Fig. 029)
C. Sealing (Ref. Fig. 030, 031, 032, 033, 034) If sealing is necessary, refer to the sealing sleeve allocation table. It gives you the quantity and Part Number of the shrinkable sleeve used for sealing. If it is necessary to use several sleeves. The first shrinkable sleeve has a length of 40 mm (1.5748 in.) The second shrinkable sleeve has a length of 30 mm (1.1811 in.) (Shrinking of the sleeve(s) is made after crimping).
D. Wire Stripping
(Ref. Fig. 029)
(1) Normal wire
-If sealing is necessary, install the heat-shrinkable sleeve on the wire before stripping.
-Select the applicable tool.
-Strip the wire at the length "A".
E. Crimping Procedure and Tools
(Ref. Fig. 035)
(1)
If necessary, install the reducer on the conductor.
(2)
Engage the stripped wire in the pin/socket.
(3)
Make sure that you can see the wire conductor through the pin/socket hole.
(4)
Install the pin/socket contact in the positioner.
