R  ________________3. Repair Procedure (Ref. Fig. 002)
R R  A. Coaxial Cables
R R  (1) Procedure This paragraph gives the general description and conditions of application for each repair type.
R R  (2) Definition of Coaxial Cable Type For the cables damaged in the "end zone", the number of repairs depends on the cable type. The type depends on the system and the cable location (route).
R  (a) Type 1 (Ref. Fig. 003) Decrease of the cable length has no effect on the operation of the system. There is no limit to the number of repairs.

R R (b) Type 2 (Ref. Fig. 004) Too much decrease of the cable length has an effect on the operation of the system. There is a limit to the number of repairs permitted on Type 2 cables.
R R R  _1  Before you repair a Type 2 cable, you must refer to the repair identification on the cable to know if a new repair is permitted.
R R R R R  _2  After a repair on a Type 2 cable, you must change the repair identification to show the number of repairs. - Identification means . Label type E0248 or equivalent,
____NOTE : Do not crush the cable with the cable ties or the lacing tape.
R R  . Adhesive band type E0683 or equivalent, . Sleeve NSA937201MA, ME or equivalent. If these two means are not available, use a sleeve type NSA937201MA, ME or equivalent (not heat-shrinkable) (We do not recommend this method because you must disconnect the coaxial contact). The sleeve diameter must agree with the maximum diameter of the coaxial contact or connector. The table gives an example of repair identification sleeve size:
